FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY
I practice fine art photography on various subjects. Painting with the light and the colors of nature, almost all effects are created when taking photos.
I value the independent development of my work, as in the times of analog film and traditional darkroom technology.

Originally from Saarland, Germany, i live on the tip of the Medoc Peninsula on the French Atlantic coast.
I have been fascinated by photography and the power of images for almost 50 years and have practiced classic art photography on a wide variety of topics.
Inspired by many art books of my father I caught at the age of 12 years in to paint and to draft. Architecture and art fascinated me and I quickly realized that these media would affect my life.
At the age of 16 years I discovered the images from Doisneau, Brassai, Ronis, Hamilton, Sieff and other famous photographers.
I bought a single lens reflex camera, a photo lab and learnt to develop photos, tried out the different films and experimented.
Exposure, focal length, point of view, moment, distance, film delicacy, lighting conditions, a variety of factors that make up a picture.
In the beginning of the 2000s disappeared many of the good films of the market. A very big incision in the photography. And at the beginning of the digital photography it seemed that the artistic photography would become possible for everybody.
Really the difference became even clearer by the digital photograph between click photos and art photograph.
Since 2004 I take a photo digitally without automatic and without camera image processing with light-strong objectives exclusively in the RAW-format.
I develop the pictures like in analogous times, but now digitally. Almost all effects already originate with the admission of the picture without digital manipulation.
In the 90s I published many photo books at a few exhibitions in Berlin and Saarbrücken.
After I stopped working as a freelance architect with architectural offices in Berlin and Saarbrücken in 2016, I focused entirely on art photography again.
I had further exhibitions in Medoc and online.
I also intend to publish more books.
